After serving in the US Coast Guard, I became a Police officer and have been serving for 30 years in law enforcement; 20 years have been spent as a Bomb Technician, and 12 years as the Tampa Police Departments Bomb Squad Commander. Over the past 12 years I have also led and supervised the security of thousands of special events including; a Republican National Convention, Super Bowls, a College Football Playoff, International Film Festival, Stanley Cup Playoffs, the Major League Baseball World Series, and Gasparilla the third largest parade in the United States with 500,000 in attendance plus thousands of other special events. These experiences have given me a powerful insight of the threats posed against attendees of events which has driven me to develop a product that increases the safety of all.

One of the most frequent threats worldwide at special events is the threat of rogue vehicles.

Over the years I have been in search of a product that will stop the threat of vehicle intrusion whether intentional or accidental while being: easy to move without special tools, aesthetically pleasing, works as a standalone product, protects from both outside and inside of a special event and minimizes secondary issues such as posing as an active shooter barricade or creating missile hazards upon impact.

I BELIEVE WE HAVE THE SOLUTIONS WITH THE “TALON”.

After being a professional Major League athlete and professional athlete in other countries for several years, I was exposed intimately to the barrage of security threats that arise with not only fans & spectators but also athletes. I remember the security protocol was so stringent but, never perfect, and one of the major threats we always had was hostile vehicle threats, because they were so difficult to predict or completely and easily eliminate without creating secondary issues to non-threatening vehicles or pedestrians.

Fast forward a decade and I co-founded a company in the US Nuclear Industry, supplying nuclear waste containment vessels to US Government Energy Providers. Upon designing, creating, engineering these vessels, I realized the proprietary material and manufacturing technique we used had so many advantages, and could be used in so many more ways. My expertise in advanced manufacturing techniques, coupled with my expertise in advanced materials in manufacturing I had a depth of knowledge that I knew would have an extraordinary impact for good in the right place. Meeting my business partner, was the catalyst to bring this solution to market.
